Steps to check HP warranty status

  1. Find the serial number (bottom label, Fn+Esc on HP laptops, or HP Support Assistant).
  2. Go to support.hp.com/us-en/check-warranty and enter the serial number (plus product number if asked).
  3. Submit — the page shows warranty type, start date and end date, including Care Pack extensions.
  4. If the start date is wrong, submit your dated receipt via HP support to have coverage corrected.
