How We Research Warranty Terms
Where the numbers come from, what the confidence flags mean, and why you should always confirm with the manufacturer.
Sources
Each brand's warranty length, claim process and registration rules are researched from that manufacturer's own published warranty policy pages and warranty documents. The source we used is listed at the bottom of every brand page.
Confidence flags
Every brand page shows a confidence flag:
- high — the term is stated directly and unambiguously on the manufacturer's official warranty page or warranty document.
- medium — the term is published but varies by product, region or model, so the headline figure is a reasonable summary rather than a single fixed number; check your specific model.
Updates
Terms are reviewed and refreshed periodically; each page shows the date it was last updated. Warranty policies change over time — a term that was accurate when compiled may since have changed.
Always confirm current terms with the manufacturer before relying on them. This site is general information, not legal advice. Spotted something out of date? Email [email protected].
