A step-by-step Bose warranty claim: what to gather, who to contact, and what to do if you're out of warranty.

In short: support.bose.com (repair-and-replacement request) or Bose phone support; My Bose account tracks coverage. Have a dated proof of purchase and the serial number ready before you start.

What you'll need

Steps to file your Bose warranty claim

  1. Step 1. Locate the serial number (usually 17 digits near a barcode): inside the earcup of over-ear headphones, on the earbud body or under the tip of in-ear models, under the headband cushion on on-ear models, or on the bottom/back of speakers and soundbars. It's also in the Bose app under Settings > Product Info.
  2. Step 2. Start the claim at support.bose.com (bose.com/support redirects there): use the Repair & Replacement request, support chat, or call 1-800-278-1083.
  3. Step 3. Provide proof of purchase — Bose or its authorized service providers may require a receipt or sales invoice before performing warranty service.
  4. Step 4. Register your product / use My Bose so the serial is on file, then follow Bose's prompted repair or replacement options.

If your claim is denied or out of warranty

Common reasons Bose denies a claim or treats it as out of warranty:

Third-party protection plans (Asurion, Upsie, SquareTrade) or your credit card's purchase protection may still cover a repair or replacement — check those before paying out of pocket.
